Cartoon M.U.G.E.N (also known as Cartoon vs Anime), is a M.U.G.E.N compilation game which has a roster consisting of cartoon and anime characters and an edited Pocket Fighter screenpack.

Goku still doesn't realize he's a bone-headed dad. Scorpion continues his body-crippling blood feud with Sub-Zero, leaving blood, guts, and broken bones in his wake. The stoic Ryu once again dons his gi to obsessively pursue a false sense of purpose. Cerebella and other cutesy, cartoon-like combatants exchange fists, feet, and projectiles against art deco backdrops in hopes of making their wildest dreams come true. Yes, my fellow digital pugilists, fighting games are back after an extended lull, and they are here to stay.

Despite removing and downplaying some series-specific elements, Garou doesn't feel any less of a Fatal Fury game, however. It's set in the Southtown, and it features multiple fighters with classic Fatal Fury lineages, whether it's blood relationships to, or martial-arts tutelage from, older characters. Kim Kaphwan isn't in the game, for example, but his sons continue his legacy of swift, combo-heavy tae kwon do kicks.

Thankfully, that changed with the Mortal Kombat XL update, a version of MKX that finally gives PC gamers all the extras that console-based fight fans have enjoyed for some time now. I dislike the idea of paying more money for PC content released long after the console version, but it's hard not to love the additions, which include even more fighters, stages, costumes, and gore.

Skullgirls 2nd Encore, the update to Reverge Labs's critically acclaimed original game, takes cues from many highly regarded fighting titles and blends it with the series' unique, cartoony, art deco-influenced visual style.

Tekken 7 is an incredibly tense game of jabs, feints, and sidesteps, because any hit may lead to a long combo sting. Factor in characters with move sets that emulate real martial arts, interactive stages that let you knock people through floors and walls, and terrific slowdown effects that happen when both fighters' health bars are in the red and they perform close-quarter melee attacks, and you have a fighting game that's essentially an interactive martial arts flick.

A fan-made M.U.G.E.N. fighter, Capcom vs. SNK: Evolution REV 2 features 118 playable characters, tight gameplay, great graphics and widescreen display support in high-def.Various authors worked on the project, including Varo_Hades, Bahamianking, DivineWolf, Infinite and "many others," according to creator Anderson Halfeld, who admitted to it being 80% complete upon release. Gamers soon praised the work for its overall polish, with some calling it one of the best MUGEN fighters ever.

Classic Spider-Man Mugen is a 2D fighting game pitting the popular web-slinger against various arch-enemies. There are 18 fighters to choose from, including several of Spidey's various costumes and forms, with a number of special moves and combos to perform.

I created the character Akito, however, I want to make it clear that he's not me, but I like my OC so much that I've gotten used to people calling me that name. And the creator of sprites are based in old Ortsac char, work of is Ariel Castro (ArielAlexCo), my thanks for him.Akito is the protagonist of a novel that I've been writing for many years, which I intend to release until the middle of next year, and Mugen helped me with several things, including better structuring the story I made for him previously within Mugen. Akito's version of the story on Capcom vs. Snk Mugen (my other screenpack) will be revamped, so consider THIS his official Akito story. The story consists of a sacred scroll that is placed as a prize in a martial arts tournament, but there is more to it than that.Events focus on Ryu, Kyo and Akito, where you understand everything better if you play with them.I could talk more about the aesthetics of the game I used itself, but I don't want to make this post bigger than it already is, so enjoy, download and enjoy.

There are many Saint Seiya videogames on the market designed by fans, especially fighting games. The MUGEN engine for 1vs1 games has run many of them, but this game, Ultimate Cosmo, is the only one that offers HD graphics from the creators themselves, two French brothers who are fans of the work of Masami Kurumada. The game is in constant development and from the many possible characters, nine are already available, among them bronze saints such as Pegasus Seiya or Phoenix Ikki and golden saints such as Leo Aioria or Gemini Saga as well as characters from the Asgard saga. All characters have their own special attacks, and in many cases, they come with spectacular animations drawn from the anime itself that varies depending on the players involved. In reality, depending on the characters who are fighting, they will have different introductions and dialogues. In addition to its normal arcade mode, it is also possible to fight another player, play practice mode or see AI-controlled fights. Without any doubt, Saint Seiya Ultimate Cosmo is one of the most promising fan games you can certainly find. And despite the fact that it's not yet finished, there's still a set of fighters and overall quality you'd expect from a finished game.

The original 80's Capcom's Street Fighter was a game opaced by his sucessor, Street Fighter II, now we put at free download this remake of the classic arcade game, featuring arranged BG music, better gameplay and Super Combos, also can select all the characters not only Ryu or Ken and endings for each character, plus an extra character from another Capcom's great franchise!

The King of Fighters: Definitive Match brings balanced characters, beautiful HD backgrounds, a quality soundtrack and an evolving difficulty. Choose from more than 90 SNK fighters and master the deep combo system. The game left many fans in the M.U.G.E.N. community impressed.

Ultra Cartoon Fight: Nova Geração - Versão Estendida ("Ultra Cartoon Fight: New Generation - Extended Version" in english) is a 2D fighting game for MUGEN with a cast full of cartoon and videogame characters. The game is higly unbalanced, being categorized as a MUGEN compilation rather than a full game, but still is fun to play due to it's casual style and wide range of playable fighters.

Hand-to-hand combat is what many people think of when it comes to fighting games. These fighting games often involve a 1-on-1 fight between two experienced fighters. Street Fighter 2 is an influential classic from this genre.

Lots of fighting games on this list require patience and a high level of skill to be played at a master level. They require hours of study if you want to become competitive, and are taken very seriously. War of the Monsters is not one of those games. This is a big, dumb slugfest between cartoonish monsters, with buildings, vehicles, and pedestrians getting crushed underfoot. Originally released for the PS2 but re-released with an increased resolution and smoother framerate on the PS4, pick this one up to feel like a kid again and have a raucous, not-too-serious time.

The Dead or Alive series is a bit of a black sheep in the fighting game community, as some find it shallow and too focused on cheesecake (that is, highlighting the sexual appeal of its cast) to be taken seriously. DOA5 (opens in new tab) did a lot to rectify this, shortening the input window for combos, requiring more precise timing and accurate button presses, and rebalancing fighters across the board. It's not as fast or focused on counterattacks as Dead or Alive 4, but it's still an accessible fighter with a fun single-player, a good tutorial system, and revamped gameplay that shows a desire to be taken seriously.

The Virtua Fighter series was one of the first to define 3D fighting games, way back on the Sega Saturn. The series has somewhat fallen somewhat out of favor, possibly due to its more toned-down nature - you won't find any robots or monsters here - but that doesn't mean it isn't still great. There's a strong focus on input precision and making counterplays, which helps Virtua Fighter 5 feel like one of the deeper 3D fighters out there. It may not be flashy, but its focus on nailing combat flow and balance more than make up for that.

Believe it or not, one of the things that fans of Guilty Gear love it for is... the tutorial. This fighting game is exceptionally thorough, and there's a lesson and a challenge for every feature it has to offer. Guilty Gear set the tone for Arc System Works fighters: it's fast and bombastic, with some of the most ridiculous characters ever put to the screen, and it is, for lack of a better term, a bit weird. It's also quite the spectacle to look at, with characters technically rendered as 3D models, but so finely detailed and animated they look like hand-drawn anime cels.

The surprise revival of Killer Instinct (opens in new tab) was one of this console generation's earliest treats. A cult favorite since its days in the arcade and at home on the Genesis and SNES, the game has an edgy, exaggerated style about it you can't help but love. Fights are almost always very close and borderline claustrophobic, but never stiff or boring. Anyone can rack up massive combos in Killer Instinct, but only those who know its intricacies will be able to capitalize on them. And with special guest characters like Rash from Battletoads and General Raam from Gears of War, it's one of the most unique fighters around. C-c-c-c-combo breaker!

There's a reason why people immediately think of Street Fighter whenever "fighting game" enters the conversation. As one of (if not the) most technical fighters on the market, it demands precision, patience, and strategy. Street Fighter 5 (opens in new tab) continues this legacy and adds a fresh wrinkle of approachability, plus a unique visual flourish to set itself apart. True, the game has its naysayers thanks to the freemium economy wrapped around it, but the core gameplay is as rewarding and deep as ever. 041b061a72
